Mrs Tracy Rodger – Chair of Governors

“I am delighted to have been appointed Chair of Governors for Queens Road Academy in 2019.

To share a little bit about myself, I am currently on the board of Trustees for St Mary’s Academy Trust, of which QRA is a part, a role which I have held since 2016.

In my working life I was a Project Manager for a global corporation, where I worked for 27 years. I led teams, mainly in Europe, to deliver new products to market.

I hope to bring all those skills to bear, to help the Queens Road team drive the school forward, ensuring all our children have the best opportunities to learn and develop.

This is an exciting opportunity for me to give something back into your Community, and I look forward to seeing you around the school.”

Mr Paul Howarth – Vice Chair of Governors – “I have been involved in education for over 20 years. Recently I have been working in secondary education focusing upon student leadership and English as an additional language. I have been involved in Queens Road governors for over 8 years. This has allowed me to see the school grow and see the exciting developments over recent years. As someone who designs Educational Games I am particularly interested in creative learning for the pupils. In my spare time I am a keen cyclist and have a love of reading. As a governor it is helpful to be able to discuss the work of the staff in school and support them in ensuring that the school is a happy and engaging place to learn.”
